Malua Bay Optus Mobile Network Update

If you have been to Malua Bay since the NY fires and use the Optus mobile network, you will have noticed that it is not working very well.

That is because the Optus tower that feeds Malua Bay was burnt in the fires and is currently offline.

Optus have deployed a mobile tower on a trailer with a satellite uplink which is currently providing the limited service that available in the area.

Currently there is no ETA from Optus as to when the tower will be back online.

So if you are in the Malua Bay area or trying to contact someone in the Malua Bay area at the moment please have patience as service is very intermittent.
